SUBTLE BODY: Mind, Intelligence, Ego
The guiding principles of spiritual paths are freedom, liberation, and emancipation from suffering, attachment, and ignorance. Deeply ingrained habits and patterns often cloud our understanding of their origins.
Even if self-realization isn’t your goal, spiritual practices rooted in these philosophies can enhance inner peace, contentment, and joy.
• Mind: The mind is reactive, often acting before thinking. It processes input from the senses, generating emotions, sensations, and memories. While it can protect us, it can also mislead us based on past experiences.
• Intelligence: The intellect observes, discriminates, and determines actions. It uses logic to reach conclusions and can help retrain the mind for better responses.
• Ego: Ego is our sense of self, shaped by experiences and perceptions. It can both protect and hinder our connection to our true self. Beyond the ego lies the soul, the true essence of our being, the source of life.
